Human beings have incredible potential. One of the most fulfilling aspects of life for me is to work alongside a person, assisting as they courageously explore life, realising their own strengths and their own abilities.
Working in the areas of mental health and addictions for 30 years I’ve learnt a considerable amount about people, and myself of course. In large public health services, private providers and not-for-profits
I’ve undertaken a range of roles, from individual therapist through to Director. I have worked with people who have sought life change for a whole range of reasons, people who had no idea of their own potential, including staff who were unaware just how capable they were. Training in the use of CBT and Solution Focused therapy, amongst other skills, allows me to bring an eclectic mix to the table.
I do believe that the Quality Mind tools and processes provide real clarity for all of us to establish pathways towards a rewarding way of being, maximising who we really are.
I’m a Dad, a partner, a brother and a friend; I love music, sport, and getting outside, breathing fresh air and seeing the beauty around us. I’ve lived in the UK, New Zealand and later Australia. I’ve experienced my share of life’s challenges, learning much on my journey and growing through battles related to confidence and anxiety issues.
Whilst some things I wouldn’t choose to go through, and some I would, the events and my responses to them have shaped me, but I’m not finished yet. There’s plenty more to explore! Walking alongside people is fun, and seeing people prosper is even better, I am keen to get to know you and enjoy journeying together for a time.
